Halloween: The Game brings together the iconic faces of the franchise and a fresh generation of Haddonfield residents. The roster is built around a single killer and a rotating cast of playable survivors, each with their own stats and traits. Here is the full character breakdown.
The Killer: Michael Myers
Michael Myers is the centerpiece of the game — the relentless, near-unkillable Shape who hunts the town's residents in 1v4 multiplayer and serves as the playable protagonist of the single-player campaign.
He is brought to life by two performers: Nick Castle, the actor behind the original 1978 Shape, and T.J. Storm, who handles motion capture. Their collaboration gives the character both its iconic screen presence and a modern, sinister physical performance.
In multiplayer, Michael is a single, powerful controller against four survivors. His kit centers on stalking, shadow travel, and overwhelming executions — a hunter defined by patience rather than pure speed.
The Survivors: Heroes of Haddonfield
The survivors are collectively called the Heroes of Haddonfield. The standard edition includes 10 playable Civilians, made up of six brand-new characters and four returning legacy faces from the 1978 film.
The six new residents are Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus, and Thomas. Each comes with their own unique stats and signature traits, letting you build a survivor who fits the way you actually play rather than adapting to a default.
Every Civilian is defined by four core attributes. Capability governs melee swings and how hard your thrown items hit. Athleticism sets the speed and efficiency of walking and riding. Personality determines how well you persuade residents, command help, and resist fear and Stalk. Resourcefulness covers repairs, environmental awareness, and your competence behind the wheel or with a gun.
The Legacy Four
Four classic characters return from the original film, and they are all playable as Civilians in addition to appearing in the campaign: Bob Simms, Lynda van der Klok, Annie Brackett, and Laurie Strode.
Their voice cast honors the originals. Bob Simms is voiced by Nicholas Leung, Lynda van der Klok by Angela Carbone, and Annie Brackett by Kaitlyn Robrock. Laurie Strode — the franchise's final girl — is voiced by Chelsea Krause.
Working with Compass International Pictures, the art team re-imagined each legacy face to fit the contemporary Haddonfield of the game while keeping them instantly recognizable. For long-time fans, they are the emotional heart of the roster.
Deluxe Edition: Richard & Alexis
The Digital Deluxe Edition expands the playable roster to 12 Civilians by adding two exclusive characters: Richard and Alexis. Both bring their own distinct look and skill set to the survivor side.
Their casting leans on recognizable talent. Richard is voiced by Spencer Charnas of the band Ice Nine Kills, while Alexis is voiced by Kristina Klebe, an actress from the 2007 reboot — a nice throughline for horror fans.
If you want access to the complete survivor lineup from day one, the Deluxe Edition is the way to get it. The bundle also includes the other Deluxe extras, making it the fullest way to experience the roster.
Dr. Sam Loomis
Dr. Sam Loomis is arguably the second-most important face in the franchise, but he does not play like a normal survivor. In the single-player campaign, Loomis is the narrator, guiding you through Michael's story with his signature dread.
In multiplayer, he appears in a special capacity: when a surviving player is killed, that player can return to the street as a Sheriff's Deputy or as Dr. Loomis to help the remaining residents and the police. Think of him as a second-life role rather than a starting pick.
This is a deliberate design choice. Loomis is a special-return character, not simply another survivor on the select screen — which keeps his iconic weight intact while still letting him actively shape matches.
Choosing Your Roster
Picking a character is about matching their attributes to your playstyle. If you love rescuing and commanding the town, lean into a resident with strong Personality for better persuasion and fear resistance. If you prefer to fight back, prioritize Capability and the weapon damage that comes with it.
The full standard roster of 10 is plenty of variety for most players, and the Deluxe pair simply rounds it out to a full 12. Given that the legacy four double as campaign characters, playing the story first is a great way to find the face you want to take online.
However you build your survivor — fast runner, tough fighter, or silver-tongued rescuer — Haddonfield's odds are better with you in the streets. Just remember who is hunting, and stay out of the dark.
